I am up a bit earlier than usual today. My dad was just taken to the ER. He has Crohn's disease and about two weeks ago he got an infection which was really serious. He was in the Emergency ICU for four days and then ICU for two days. His blood pressure was down to 41 and his heart rate was really high. Anyway, this morning he was having lots of problems. My mom just took him in.

Please pray that God will be glorified in this situation, that God will heal my dad, and that he can be well enough to come home soon.

I trust and believe and love a God who is in control. He is always faithful. Everything that happens is part of His plan and purpose. His will is always done. His plans are never frustrated. This is not only the truth, but so very much comforts me.

Isaiah 41: 8-19 (ESV)
But you, Israel, my servant,
Jacob, whom I have choosen,
the offspring of Abraham, my friend;
you whom I took from the ends of the earth,
and called from the farthest corners,
saying to you, "You are my servant,
I have chosen you and not cast you off";
fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Thank you for your prayers, Daniel. It is delightful to worship our sufficient, loving, glorified, and transforming triune God.

Praise be to God! My father has only the stomach flu. However, he is very dehydrated. We continue in prayer, knowing God has ordained begining to end, trusting in His almighty hand. Blessed be the name of the Lord!

I'm glad to hear that nothing is seriously wrong with your father Julianne. I will remain in prayer for his continued health.

Hey Julliane, I'm a little late with my comment here. I hope your dad is doing better now. I have ulcerative colitis which is about the same as crohn's, so I know how he must feel. I spent a two-week stint in the hospital also and almost lost my colon because of it. Anyway, I'm feeling better nowdays. I'll tell you more about it if you like. I'm Calvinist211 on AIM, fyi.

Hi Micah,

Thanks for the comment. My dad is doing okay. He goes in for surgery April 22 to have part of his ilieum removed. Thanks for sharing about yourself. How are you doing? One thing that is distinct about Crohn's is that it can actually penetrate through the wall of the intestine which creates leaks. This is what led to infection for my dad.

I put you on my MSN messenger with your email address. I'm not sure if that will work?

Good day. Thanks, again.

I gave up on MSN messenger a while ago so I only use AIM now, but I'd like to chat some more about this somehow. Are you against AIM or do you just prefer MSN? I really like AIM better. C'mon, switch to AIM!

Okay, I'll give in. I actually never IM. It just seems like I already spend way too much time online. However, I'll give AIM a lookedoo.
